Narayandas Agrawal, Chairman, GLA Group, seems to possess the key that has today opened the doors towards his attainment of name, fame and professional satisfaction. Why otherwise should a normal businessman of yesterday, today find himself in the enviable position of a reputed entrepreneur? On probing we found, it is his natural self that intuitively knows how to make his team function, that has served as the magic wand to completely transform his fortunes. "My father’s biggest strength is his quality to retain his team and keep the members working in high spirits. It is his extended family and he looks after and tends each and every one of them like his own children, as a result of which they end up delivering far better than expected," says Neeraj, his son, also Secretary of the Society.
The GLA Group, named after Ganeshi Lal Agrawal, father of Narayandas, today comprises five institutes, GLA Institute of Technology and Management, GLA Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, GLA Institute of Business Management, GLA Institute of Professional Studies and GLNA Institute of Technology. Conducting ten undergrad and three postgrad programmes, all of which are AICTE or UGC approved and some affiliated to UPTU, Lucknow, while others to Dr BR Ambedkar University, Agra, the Group aspires to impart world class education, conduct research and development activities, continually improve the quality of teaching and learning processes and to be recognized as a centre of academic excellence in the field of Engineering, Technology and Management Education.
Perhaps it was his own thirst for specialized education that spurred him on to attempt something of this magnitude. "I always wanted to get highly educated, but I never got the chance for advanced, formal studies as I had responsibilities at a very young age," he says ruefully, but is quick to add, " I did learn a lot by reading due to my lust for knowledge. Today I am glad I have been able to shape the future of thousands of students through education. In fact me and my sons are working tirelessly towards this end."
When asked about his support system that is ultimately responsible for his progress, Narayandas replies with absolute clarity. "A man cannot do anything alone. He always needs the support of society. Ideas have been mine but it is my people who have made them into reality." However, when talking about his beliefs and convictions, in highlighting his inherent thoughts, he also reveals facets of his persona which have truly endeared him to his people. "I always have a positive bent of mind. I feel if one has good intentions, one always does well in life." The confident and totally assured voice, measured words, say it all. His faith in God shows in his bearing, in more ways than one.

I want this group to take the shape of a university as soon as possible. I don’t want students of my country to go abroad. They will get all of what they seek there, here in Mathura itself," is exactly the scale at which he sees his future shape up, concluding with a confident, "I know I will be able to do it, he concludes.
