Everyone of us dreams of a career, not only to earn a livelihood but also get social status and prosperity. MPS is a destination that begins the journey of our students’ lives," is what Neelam Singh has to say, to describe in a nutshell the aim behind setting up of the Dr MPS Memorial Group with its base in Sikandra in Agra. At present it holds the distinction of imparting quality education in the fields of Biotechnology, Management, Information Technology, Tourism and Hospitality. This educationist and entrepreneur with a charismatic personality, happens to be the Founder and Managing Director of this string of institutions.
Having started in 2001, it all began with the launch of its College of Business Studies in Agra with the rest following within the span of less than a decade. With her husband Sqr. Ldr. (Retd) Atul Kumar Singh as Co-founder and Chairperson, they make an ideal made-for-each-other couple. They not only complement each other as life partners but also as business companions. So while Neelam handles the corporate expositions, academic systems, nationwide marketing, media relations and business development of the entire group, Atul, an expert in foreign languages, logistics, supply chain management and behavioral sciences, is known to be a powerful speaker and writer on leadership issues.
So when Neelam says, “We are constantly working to develop an ethical system of education which makes one exceptional to realize one’s potential and transform them into reality," it is easy to comprehend the core issues on the basis of which the students here are handled. And yes it is different. They work on the hidden talents of individuals to help them arrive at a total understanding of their aptitudes while they work on their primary course. The end result is a well-groomed lot of professionals, capable of tackling multiple issues and also chasing their dreams, quite like this couple has been able to achieve, through sheer grit, determination and perseverance.
But then it was love that changed their’s as well as the lives of hundreds of children who decided to study at MPS. Once Atul, fell in love with his batchmate Neelam, nothing in the world, even parental pressure did not deter the duo from tying the knot. “My seniors while ragging asked me to read her face. I could not read the face, I only saw the lovely eyes… and that was it. It was not love at first sight but love forever," recalls Atul with a disarming smile.
“But once Atul’s family accepted us after our son Akshay was born," she confides, “They gave me the most memorable moments of my life. That was the time I came to know about the ideals of my father-in-law and well the rest is all in front of you," says Neelam, who just cannot stop talking about Dr MP Singh, after whom the chain of institutes has been named. “He was the most incredible educationist I had ever met. He had a vision and all I could do is turn his vision into a real mission. And that was not possible without Atul. As always he gave me his hand and this dream became a reality," she says wistfully.

We want to start with other colleges at the earliest and Engineering is high on the agenda. Our Hotel Management is already a much sought after program, for which we have created a setup of international standards. and we intend to make it even better than reputed universities in the West.
