Dainik JagranThe story of Danik Jagran began in 1942 with a mission to "create a newspaper that would reflect the free voice of the people." This vision was as much a reflection of the times when it was propounded, as much as it is relevant to us today.

Cut to the era of 2007 in the dynamic media world of India, where consumers have an unprecedented array of options, Danik Jagran stands out as the choice of millions. Even the World Association of Newspaper announced that Dainik Jagran is the largest read daily in the world.

Dainik Jagran has one of the widest footprints within the print media in Inida. it prints 37 editions each day out of eleven states, namely Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal and Jammu & Kashmir. In May 2006, BBC voted Dainik Jagran as the most credible source of news within the print media. It has been the largest read daily in the last twelve consecutive rounds of the IRS survey, a unique records in the history of Indian media. It was also the first daily to cross the 20 million reader mark in India. Its readership base is greater than that of the top nine English dailies put together.

Dainik Jagran is on a continuous path of evolution and has explored newer content delivery platforms over the last few years. The product has changed with the changing times, and the changing requirements of its readers. The e-paper is one such expression. The group publishes i-next, the leading bilingual compact daily of India, Sakhi, a monthly magazine targeted at women and City Plus, which is the first English publication form its stable.
